'90 SPG - gagging rich start-up and high idle ? >>

Recent purchase. Runs as if APC has minor tweak. Recently cool weather start up is so rich it almost won't run. In a couple minutes it clears out and runs OK but have intermitent high idle, 2200 RPM. Warmer weather, 60F, no problem. Only other issue to attend to is very pulsing noisy fuel pump. Is there any other influence on richness other than ECU & temp sensor? Could faults at temp sensor cause this? Only thought so far is to go thru all electrical connectors in fuel/ECU system and check for clean and good contact. Do FPR's ever do on/off problems or just fail?
