I only considered load independent losses in my analysis (which to me were the obvious losses). I did not think of load depended losses in my thought processes. Thanks!
One question though Kevin: I thought the coefficient of friction for the gear mesh was only load dependent with regard to RPM (e.g. coefficient of friction between the gears is always the same at 5000 RPM regardless of the power of the engine spinning those gears)and therefore essentially a constant for dyno results (assuming both pulls were taken through the same RPM band). You seem to indicate that there is a load dependent aspect based upon the power driving the spinning gears. If you don't mind--please educate me some more!
I also didn't know why the Mustang dynos reported less than DynoJets--thanks for that info also.
