I had to readjust my K-pot because I messed it up before I knew better... :(
So I tried these values:
1st test drive
33,9 - 16,0 = Terrible knocking on 1st & 2nd gear, 0.6 bar. Some knock on 3rd gear at 0.8 bar. So obviously this is too high setting.
2nd test drive
37,8 - 11,7 = Knocks on 1st & 2nd gear at 0.8 bar. 3rd gear can hold boost at 1.0 bar sometimes, but sometimes I get boost taper due to knock. Hmmm, now I'm confused, this should be a good setting but I still get knock... is there something wrong with the ignition or fuelling...
Now it's 11pm and I set the APC box to these settings
40,8 - 8,3 = I haven't tried this setting, will try tomorrow. But the main question here is is this setting too low, will I get knock and my box will ignore it with this setting?
Just to clarify, the car is a an ex-LPT Saab900, it has a Saab 9000 APC installed (box number 7524143). I'm using a knock led with the APC and at the moment I am using the standard Lucas injection, standard ignition, but I do have a large custom FMIC so warm intake air is not a problem. Also the Lucas should be able to deliver fuel up to 1.0 bar boost nicely. Will check my ignition timing tomorrow.
