hey there taylor
part of the reason for the resister is to tell the ECU there is less airflow than there is because fuel cut overboost protection is based on airflow VS RPM so something to take into acount is that if you vary resistance & you lower the resistance while runing enough airflow to enable fuel cuts it would be a problem
your ideas are good there are aftermarket injector drivers that do these sorts of things
one could vary resistance with a boost switch
but you are still limited by the perameters of the fuel map table & modifyers in the eprom
& what you are asking basicaly is how to remap the system using varied modification to ECU input
chip tuning is another way to deal with this
Im working on a 2.4 setup using a much larger AMM which will solve 3 problems
1 fuel cuts
2 fueling acuracy under higher airflows
3 allow freeier flow thru the AMM
