by turning the base idle up a bit
basicaly if you were to close off one of the IAC hoses (I usesd needlenose with a pair of vise grips to clamp it down & shut the hose off)
the car should either not idle or just bareley idle at like 300 RPM & stall
this may be some rough base setting
if you cant get the throttle plate to shut down this far the throttle body may be warn
also I wondered what the part# on corts IAC is to make sure Im running the same one
I think steve in denver (with the idle surging) may have a funky AMM or amm setting
but I do want to help get these issues solved it is dificult as we are all working with used parts & so it is entireley possible that parts can be an issue as well as setup
but there is no reason that others cars shouldent run as well as mine does
