Thanks Terry, I'm really going to miss that car! The only thing that was hurt was my pride! Actually, I did have the hair on the back of my hands and my face singed, a bit. Gave me a good reason to shave! I have a very good idea at what started the fire - gas! My suspicion is the rubber hose that runs from the plastic line to the FPR. If it leaked there, it's not that far from the cat'. Anyway, it's gone now. I'm searching for another 9000 - IMHO, the B234 turbo engines are probably the most robust of any engine saab has ever built. I have a feeling that my insurance company will not reimburse me for all the money I put into it - I'd be surprised if they offer anything other than the book, which is a little over $8k. Even though the '98 drivetrain only had 65k on it, they'll just see it as a '94. I'm sure I had over $11k invested, and that doesn't include the labor it took. Here's a list of my mod's:
MapTun/Fredrik's software
Green Giants
Sachs Race Engineering PP
KJ IC
New Panasport wheels & Firehawk SZ-50 tires
JT downpipe, Magnaflow muffler
TurboXS BPV
K&N Filter
Clear Corners
Bilsteins
Ferodos
New Brake lines and braided stainless at all four corners
Poly bushings
Etc, Etc, Etc.
Here's a 'before'picture I took a few months ago - I'll post the 'after' pictures later.....
