Maptun Stage 3 boost questions..Long

Finally got to really play around with my stage 3 maptun upgrade on my car today and have a couple of questions for those that may know..Gotta say I am impressed but a little curious about some things.
Got to go WOT on a extremely long uphill straigh away in fifth gear, easy roll on the throttle to wide open and very steady boost increase to 18 psi on my autometer guage....held nicely for about 5 seconds and as the RPM's got higher started to taper just as I suspected. Running about 95 or so at this point. Backed off and repeated and same results...Funny thing is the car had so much more to go..Pretty scary actually.
Anyway got the chance to do this again on a different mountain with a steeper grade so I tried this in fourth gear this time and WOW.. boost creeped up to over 22psi and is holding nicely I must say and 95 was like NOW...wifes in the car and says "I just so glad you bought this freakin car!". Me too was my response... anyway do different gears allow a higher boost? Just curious? Love the Maptun in a big way!
