Let me clarify one thing: MBC+A does not require drilling any holes. If done right, the car can be returned to stock condition in less than 15 minutes. Don't cut any OEM hoses, or butcher the stock Hose between the TB and IAC. This piece can be replaced with a similar size piece of heater hose to keep the stock one untouched. You can always start with a MBC as the +A isn't as big an issue until the temps start to drop.
Either choice requires the following so maybe your $ would be wisely spent doing:
Airbox mod
High flow air filter
TBTC Porting
Sport exhaust
Synth Oil
Good plugs gapped correctly
Viggen IC
premuim fuel
this is a good place to start for either of your choices.
Obvously ECU upgrades are a safer way to go yet $ difference is significant, but many are running MBC's without any issues in these cars.
