Finished! Works like a charm. The whole thing fits in front of the AC condensor with just a little carving of the lower air dam. The top routed custom in/out ducts work perfectly. I took the celebratory first test drive last night, but didn't ask much boost from it just yet. The fiberglass end tank attachement layers were done earlier in the day and I want them to completely cure first. I also managed to fit in a heat shield where the turbo to IC input piping runs past the turbo body. The shield is actually a heat shield for the battery - an custom aluminum piece that covers the large turbo elbow that I found in a junkyard some time ago. I cut and bent it so that it can fit between the aluminum IC piping and turbo unit to keep from absorbing unnecessary additional heat on it's way to the IC.

Overall it was just a little more involved than I first envisioned. A good trait to have I suppose for a DIYer, or else few of us would actually do some of the things we do on our cars. I also have selective memory about past projects. Not long ago I had to pull and replace my original engine (a 2 week long drama that involved having to replace the first replacement). When I finished I was so exhausted and sore, I vowed to never do that again, to just junk the car if the engine died. I've ammended that vow - I wouldn't do it if I had time constraints like I had before. My favorite jeans that I mistakenly wore on the last day of that job finally cleared of all the grease too. Now whenever I turn the key and hear that replacement engine hum to life I just remember the good moments.

I'll have pictures of the FMIC install available probably by this evening.
