Below is an excerpt from my experience with the SPG9 Stainless Exhaust that I emailed Dave New about. It may help you with your installations. Dave at SPG9 also called later that night and I told him the same as the email.

Hello Dave,
>
> Just finished showering after my trip to the Base Auto Hobby Shop. It
> took 3 hours to remove the SAAB sport Exh and Retrofit the SPG9 SS Exh
> and rotate my tires. Not bad for a DIY Job alone. The worst thing was
> getting the Cat of the tail section. I had to cut the old tail pipe
> section off so I could send it to SPG9 as a template and set the rest of
> the unit down and cut off the nuts with a grinding wheel.
>
> The Stock aluminized piece from the Cat to the muffler was in excellent
> shape but I tossed it out with the blown muffler still connected.. Now
> for the part you are probably intereasted in.
>
> Started by lifting the car to just over my head. Loosened the nuts on
> the front of the cat. Removed the rubber hangers from the Muffler.
> Attempted to remove the tail pipe segment from the back of the cat. I
> only removed 1 nut and bolt. Attempted to remove the whole section of
> pipe Cat and All form under the car. Removed the tail pipe rubber
> hanger. Even Turning the wheels to the right I could not get the system
> off. I came closest when rotating the Exhaust 90 degrees clockwise but
> the twin tubes were to wide to slide forward and out. If I had the
> Stock Saab Tailpipe I probably could have done it. I had no choice but
> to cut the pipe some where. I chose the Muffler pipe just forward the
> Twin Tube Tail pipe. This would keep me from doing two cuts with a hack
> saw. So I put on the outboard Muffler hanger and bolted th eCat back t
> teh down pipe. Once the tailpipe was off, I remove the nuts on the Cat
> and remover the rubber hanger from the Muffler. Slid right out. Next I
> had to use a hand held grinding wheel to cut off the 3 stuck nuts on the
> cat. Next I re-installed the Cat loosly. Next I hung the muffler and
> then the center pipe. As Dave, From SPG9, recommended. I assembled all
> the section loose and moved everything around to prevent rubbing. I
> found that even after moving and re-positioning all the pieces, I still
> could not get teh unit to stay outboard enough. I fixed that by
> removing the new rubber hanger from the inboard side of the muffler and
> putting on the older one. It gave me the 1 inch I needed. A near
> perfect fit. I only rattle ever so slightly from the pipe on the
> Panhard rod.
>
> The kit was nice and included 3 gaskets (cat to center pipe, centerpipe
> to muffler, and muffler to tail pipe), 4 stainless 17mm nut and bolts
> with 2 washers per bolt, and teh 3 new rubber hangers. The only
> complaint is I had to use one of my old hangers to get it to not sit
> right against the right panhard rod connection point on the chasis. If
> the outboard muffler hanger hook was just a 1/2 inch to 1 inch shorter
> it would have been perfect on my car.
