If you are in Western NC, you should definitely go and see Jak in Black Mountain. He has a lot of experience with B204&5's. He will get you back in no time. Unfortunately he is away until next week. I'm in Charlotte if you need anything, I have a lot of extra Saab junk in the garage.
Where is the noise coming from in the engine compartment? Is it possible that you just broke the shaft on the turbo? How do the plugs look?
Watch out for all of the SQR bashers jumping in. I'm sure you know personally how good Frank's S/W is. After watching him read and re-read for knock values for about an hour, I know how committed he is to making software with full protection. He is on the extreme side of boost, but that's what we all ask for and we love it. I can't imagine driving my 9000 without it. BORING!
Good luck with everything, I hope all is well with your engine, and again, you should get up with Mr. Jak. He is extremely affordable, knowledgable, and performance minded should you need any engine work done. I have very good connections with used engines if you end up wanting to go that route. Good luck.
