Don't know what you have, but I can say that my 92 (a couple years ago) with original suspension and factory brakes was quite nimble and stable around the Laguna Seca racetrack as well as the Thunderhill racetrack at speeds above 120mph.
Experiencing Laguna Seca's "corkscrew" at high-speed was breathtaking.
I only used the factory brakes for about 5 laps, so it was not a racing situation, but I certainly had no problem hauling her down from 135 to 50 for a 90 degree turn.
Did you replace the factory pads with something else?
