a light aluminum flywheel will totally change the driving experience. for regular driving you will have to feather more power into the clutch plate for a longer time. stop and go and starting on a hill will be much different. as far as turbo spool. my observation is that the turbo spool is related to rpm and load. i.e. spugly ( my 200whp ugly spg) spools fastest when i am towing and boost comes in at lower rpm. with a lighter flywheel you are not storing substantial amounts of energy away and will get higher r's faster hence boost is faster due to rpm and air volume but i would be suprised to see it much lower in rpm range since it is not spending much time there building steam. if you live in san fran or even seattle and commute in town you will be hating it while there. if you are towing you hate it there as well since you can store and retrieve more energy in the stock flywheel. i use a 9k arrangement and others in the seattle saab club have lightened those with good results. others have a dual disc low inertia unit ( less weight at lever arm end) but that is still not a lightweight aluminum unit. no matter what, if you don't like whatever you buy then pull it and sell.
