At the risk of sounding very ignorant, I haven't seen a 9000 with that turbo on it, but maybe someone else can chime in if they have experience with it. I've been wrong before. If it was in fact off of a stock 9000, you will need to find out from what year. The t-25 manifold is quite different from the t-3, and that could be a problem when adapting to your late model system. You sure it's not a 900?
At any rate, try to findout what the rest of the turbo specs are. It should be a TEO5-****. This will give us the answer to your spool up questions, and also indicate the top end performance which IMHO, is more important. Try to find this out, or simply look at the stamped serial plate on the discharge housing for the trim specs.
My 9000 has the stock Aero TDO4-15T-6cm2 (pushing right to the limit of it's specs.) Unfortunately, I have a similiar sickness and want MORE, MORE, MORE! Seriously, I am probably going to end up with one of the newer BB Garretts, and shoot for around 300-325 at the wheels. This is my goal anyway. I have a new intercooler, and I will need a new SQR program to go with the Volvo green injectors. With the stock turbo and injectors I was able to get fairly close as it is. I don't think the new goal will be unreasonable with the right hardware. (I hope!)
F-16? You have NO idea how jealous I am to hear that!!! I grew up very close to the 174th TFW CAS in Syracuse. They used to have A-10's but then switched to F-16's in the aerly 90's. I used to watch them tear up the gunnery range up in Antwerp, NY with the 30mm belly pods. Heartstopping from the ground, I can't even begin to imagine what that would feel like up in the sky, strapped into a mach-2 go-cart. You are my new hero on the board. :o)
