if you go thru the trouble to pull the trans you should replace at least the disk,pressure plate,& release bearing.
the decision to make here is what to upgrade to have a clutch that will last a long time even though you are making allot more torque
I personaly am big on the stock PP & agressive disk method but I read that the later 9Ks & newgens have notoriously weak pressure plates?
so you may upgrade both
personaly Id get a new sachs PP & use a verry agressive 3 or 6 puck bronse ceramic disk mostly because the upgraded PPs are friggin spendie
I think although some may disagree the overkill on a clutch is the way to go I rather have a touchy harsh clutch that I never have to wory about slipping than not going far enough on the performance side & having to rip it all out again in a year or so
