IMS, thanks for the reply...

>> If you do not have a bigger nozzle then drop pressure switch to 7 and take for a ride.

If I drop below 10 psi it will boost *less*, sometimes only 7-8 psi, and will misfire slightly.

>> If it still is not performing, drop even more. if this does not work, I would call Brad and have him send you more nozzles. I run a 1.0 in my 88 spg with 91 octane. I have the water injected at 9 psi.

I called Brad and he said the problem probably revolved around the ion-charge knock sensor on this T5 car, and suggested a 1.0 nozzle. I suspect that since I see misfire below 10 psi with the 0.7 nozzle that I'm getting plenty of water. I'm set at 10 psi now and it runs okay, just no better than without WI. Again, the problem is only when weather is hot, normal for summer in Louisiana, and the engine is thoroughly heated up.

>> Are you sure the water injection is working? Test to see if it's spraying water.

It is absolutely working very well, giving an excellent spray pattern. This has been checked repeatedly by shorting the p/switch wires. I also wired an LED in the dash next to the VDO boost gauge to show when it activates. I've checked and double-checked its operation and the WI system itself is not the problem.

What about adding alcohol or WSW fluid to the mix? It'll at least increase effective octane and maybe will help the detonation problems. Couldn't hurt to experiment.
