Yes, they can be... Posted by JustinHiFi [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Turbo Tech question, Phil, Mon, 30 Aug 2004 17:24:38 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I actually am in the process of doing the exact opposite to my '91 9kT. Since the current T-25 is getting very tired, and my endless search for a TD-04 aero turbo has been niltch, decided to go to a larger T-3 unit. For the swap to the T-25, you will need the oil supply line (all t-25s are screw on units) not like the older flange stye. The older style manifold will be needed as the exhaust ports are different. The water lines *should* be alright, but I think you may need to convert one, but that will be custom since the 2.3 engine is setup differently water wise. Oil return into sump will be different, as the hole for the 2.3 is further to the right of the block, try a 2.0 return with 2.3 fitings as well.
I think a large difference for the 91/92s being quick over the eariler ones is they are 2.3L not 2.0L.
Should have everything together in about 2-3 weeks....
