Not going against Dean in anyway, he's a Senior board statesman, but I don't think the series boost controller is what you want here. The turbo on the linear gives a new definition to the word tiny. A smbc in theory will create a very mild increase in spool up time, but with the linear, it's not the low end that needs any help, it's the mid-range amd top end that you are looking for, right? For instance, my best friends car(linear SS) shoots out of the hole to 50mph MUCH faster than my other friends 9-3 Aero-SS. The Aero closes before 60mph. Just something to think about.
You wanted a performance breakdown for each modification and a price, so here it goes in order of the best bang for the buck in my ultra humble opinion:
1) If you buy a PPC upgrade(software) you will bring your 175hp up to 205-208 hp. COST: $850.00 - Engstrom motorsports. Plug and play, done.
2) If you simply add the injectors and change the turbo to that off of a stock vector or Aero SS, you will bring the hp up to 248hp with the PPC. COST: $850 for the PPC, $350 for the turbo from Goldwing, I don't know what they want for the injectors.
3) If you bolt on a TDO4 from speedparts, change the exhaust and add a cotton filter, upgrade the injectors, add the software, you are looking at 280hp/300lbs ft of torque! COST:($2,900 if you buy everything new from Speedparts).
4.) Series manual boost controller, (which can be helpful if your torque is limited in lower gears, but yours is not) Again, in your case of the linear, I don't think it's worth the frustration of dialing it in, but it is very cheap, so no harm done. COST: $20.00 from Grainger.
