But even if it is, I guess I'll let you slide as you drive an SPG.
As far as I know the stock exhaust is pretty free flowing so I don't know that removing the stock muffler will help much, the main restriction is in the stock turbo elbow (remedied by a 3" downpipe which requires moving the battery to the trunk).
It might be difficult to remove the stock muffler, IIRC it's connected by pipes that don't line up (to replace with a straight pipe). Were you installing this yourself or getting a muffler shop to do it? If it's a shop they could make something to take the place of the stock muffler.
When I put the swedish dynamics exhaust on my 88 900 turbo it sounded better (deeper, throaty and some popping on deceleration) but I don't think it made the car any faster.
