T5 fuel cuts happen when you force the boost higher than the ECU wants to put up with. A MBC+A eliminates the boost cut issues caused by pressure overshoots when using a MBC. You can then have a higher boost setting and not get fuel cuts. You are then living with the same ECU controlled pressure limitation.
You also get more power for a given pressure by lowering the intake air temps. Better IC or anything that helps reduce intake or exhaust restrictions will help.
