has a broader torque band. If you keep the M3 under 6000rpm you can keep up and likely reel it in, but after that, hell hath no fury like an M3 between 6000-8000 rpm. IN the corners the BMW has much better control and balance. However, I did smoke one up Vail pass a couple of years ago in my Viggen. We started out at about 35mph after we got stuck behind a semi and he was gasping for air (11,000ft)as I screemed by in 3rd gear, not even close, and yes he was trying, cause that thing was rapped out like a hair dryer.
