the tallon IC is about twice as thick as the stock unit & with the stock inlet & outlets its verry unlikeley that it would fit behind the OE filter/trashcan
I did a custom IC for WLFbronco where we cut off the OE inlet & outlet & than welded on 2.5 inch mandrel bends so it went in just like an OE unit I did not weld on pegs so it would go into the holes at the botom but it did fit perfectly :-)
the way I do it by making pipes it sits in there at sorta a 45* angle
a fan should definatly be used I think it to be a realy bad idea to go thru the trouble to mount the thing then do nothing to increase airflow
have a great day
