No worries. Always happy to help.

Never had any issues with the '97. It's been rock solid and I pretty much have left it untouched since the last modification about 2 years ago. It now has 130,000 miles on it. BTW, Dyno measurements are similar to REM's, except that torque at the crank is closer to 260 ft-lbs.

When I purchased the '93 Commemorative, I knew it was Bob Jones' car and I had just wrecked by similarly modified '88 SPG (another story for another time). Bob had just sold it to the local Saab independent shop, S&S Auto Sales. The car had a very good rep, and I knew many others wanted it. I jumped at it.

However in the care of S&S, many of the go fast goodies had been stripped off the car -- their right, it was their car for the three weeks in their care.

So I had a little bit of a time getting thing re-sorted out. But all in all, it's been a great car. The only problem I've had recently was on the aftermarket security system. NOTHING to do with the go-fast pieces. So, can I complain? No, not at all. The car has been great.

Now, that having been said, prior to totaling the '88, it's transmission was trashed -- third gear. Too much boost for an old tranny. That car was pushing 24 PSI of boost. The '93 is closer to 18 PSI and is much faster. The reason? Much better exhaust flow.

As a whole, I try to look at modifications "holistically". Each mod should compliment the next, and should be added to the car incrementally. Add it, see what it does, then move on. Reliability as well as "going fast" is important to me. I do a LOT of business travel and cannot afford to be stranded if I decide to drive.

'Nuff said.

Feel free to ask more any time!
