I installed my stage III several months ago. I chose the BSR unit over others because the torque numbers are a little higher than the HP and I wanted to fast quick not high top speed.
I am not sure, but had been told, that the ECU is programmed to match the car. Make sure the connector, and programming match how you rcar is set up ( manual trans air filter system, exhaust) Most stage III are programmed to require full proformance exhaust ( at least 3" DP and 2.5 " cat back as well as pro-airfilters)
No major problems to date. I did have an issue with gasoline quality ( the car still has favorites. ( It scared me to death until I realized that i had filled the car recently- it lost power and knocked like crazy.) Make sure you replace plugs with cooler (7's)
There have been comments on the board about dangerous A/F ratios that have been found (too lean I think) and about general quality issues ( I don't know what these are but Nick at genuine Saab had told me about his concerns when I tried to order my part. (Apparently he had some returns and reprograms necessary) I have been happy so far.
