I take it that it feels like your alignement is changing? (toe in particular)
I am just about to replace a steering rack (again) because my inner tie-rod-ball caused this behavior. With zero toe these kinds of problems are quite noticable, since it's probably going from toe-in to toe-out. Of course all the rubber suspension bushings can cause things like this too, if you don't find a balljoint or tie rod loose.
It may help to have a friend play with the steering wheel, shaking it left/right, while you feel around and try to identify any play in the steering rod ends. Ball joints are a little harder to check, but less likely to cause these problems.
Are you also in a c900?
