Exhaust Opinions

I need a new exhaust for my '86 900T (along with a new tranny). Everything front to back . I am planning on upgrading hp soon and figured a high flow exhaust is a good place to start (will also add an air filter kit at same time). What does everyone recommend? What about a catalytic converter? Should I go with stainless? I don't want anything too loud (but I do like that really deep, low rumble). Thanks!
