Lowish boost pressure

Still cannot find the cause of the low boost problem with my 87 900 Turbo. Here is the situation.
base boost checked 6 months ago, fine. Boosting nicely into the red until about a few weeks ago when all of a sudden dropped into orange. Since then I have checked EVERY apc component, substituted computers even (my original is a self-tweaked job), checked all hoses with pressure test, disconnected knock sensor and run short distance etc etc. Nothing allows boost to go into red unless apc pressure sensor is disconnected which allows boost to rise into red beautifully of course. I have a new set of plugs BCP7ES gapped to .81mm (thanks jak) car runs so sweetly, just not the boost I have become addicted to! Heavy duty bypass valve ok, Group9 AID ok, timing ok,high rate fuel pump & injectors new, aarrrrrggghhhh! So frustrating! Have checked inputs into computer at plug, all seems well with correct voltage, earth etc.
