how much power?

Hey Eli, I think the manual rack is superior for feedback in corners, and
the slightly quicker ratio does make a slight difference. I had a '79 900EMS
for quite awhile that was light, nimble, and fun to drive. But it had skinny
185/60-15 tires and only put out 115hp at the crank (or was it 110?).
Anyhow, if you are pumping up the turbo and plan on running “real” tires in
a 205 or 215 or oh-my-goodness 225 tires, this manual rack is probably going
to get overpowered by the hardware. In that case, I'd do what gorper suggested.
I’ve been looking at the steering quickeners myself but I havn’t bought one yet.
I was also looking at new steering racks. In the hotrod/race community the Ford
Pinto rack (or Mustang II) is the universal donor due to simple mounting,
multiple ratios and Tie rod configurations, etc. But nobody I know has put one into a
