I run WD40 thru them & blow shop air semi gently back & fourth thru it
if the thing persists in putting the guage way up there & hitting fuel cut & or reverting to base boost its the BPC they are a common failing item & they often die slowly so the symptoms can creep up on you although this may just be an isolated incident
you dont want to leave a bad BPC on there because the coil can short out & smoke the transistor that drives that side of the BPC (there are 2 transistors taht drive it)
often durring tuning sessions on trionic cars many BPCs & DIs are changed these things often come up when mods are done at least I find that to be the case when tuning the older ones personaly
