I think if you keep the down pipe tucked up in there Posted by jak [Email] (#195) [Profile/Gallery] (more from jak) on Sun, 23 Jan 2005 16:19:16 In Reply to: Any ground clearance issues?, ckpaden, Sun, 23 Jan 2005 15:27:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
that the cat is rearward enough (sorta between the wheels) that it wouldent be too much of a problem to get mabey up to another inch of clearance between the cat & pan one would have to see if the cat is realy that much lower then the pan to where it would be a problem if it was a little lower then the pan this might become a problem on a slammed car but usualy the hi perf springs we use are stiffer & dont realy let the car down as much & I run stock 88 SPG springs onmy car because I live on a dirt road so your environment may or may not allow for this
one inch more space will still get the pan hot especially at idle but I think the little bit more air space when moving would be useful
relocating it more rearward is a pretty good idea
OBD2 might have a problem with the cat taking a lil longer to warm up
as it uses the second one to estimate cat efficiency & I think its looking at time as well but this might not be efected enough to be a real problem one would just have to try it :-)
lowering the cat was just a passing thought I threw in there :-)
take care
