Well you could tweak the APC unit (F and P pots) READ a lot first, there are MANY pieces of info on APC's.. a fair amount of it wrong :-)
Suggest keeping boost to 10/11 psi the Space between yellow and red onna Gauge. At those levels an intercooler is unnecessary.
This is a nice SAFE level that will require NO other mods, but will breathe a worthwhile new performance level into the car... without creating neither headache nor anxiety.
