basicaly take the actuator off of the dist & put the actuator arm in one hand & the pot in the other
pull out see how the peg limits the travel outward of the actuator? see that there is a gap between the peg & the step in the arm when in the rest position
get a pair of chanel locks or vise grips put one jaw on top of the pec & the other jaw on the back side (the rivit you see on the outside) & tweak the peg away fron=m the step so you have about twice the OE gap eyeballing it then put it back together
then I set the timing with pressure on the hose to the diaphram & set it to 11BTDC to beginn with then check the timing the normal way it will probably be betwen 19-21BTDC so then you basicaly play with the timing driving the car to try to get the boost to stabilize
