BOBJ's CAR DOWN AND OUT... PLEASE HELP....

Coming home from work today I heard a big POP. Kinda like exhaust issue.
Anyhow, the car died on the road. I waited and got it started but I had
to keep the revs UP high in order for it to keep running. If I let up,
the car dies.
My first thought is the Bell RRFPR is acting up. BTW: When I restart it,
it's fine (idle and all) for 5 seconds before it dies. The engine bay is
hot and I'm waiting to take a look at it when it cools down.
The only thing I've done recently is install the SPG9 exhaust. No exhaust
leaks or anything that I could tell.
What are the signs of a bad AMM, or catalytic converter?
