I had the same problem with my aero. When I first baught it the lines were "T" lined together and the BPC unplugged. When I reconnected and plugged it back in and drove around with full pressure I was experiencing the boost cut you talk about, felt almost like a hard knock. I talked to a couple different salvage yards about the part on some aeros and was going to replace it for $70 used instead of the listed $200 but for some reason it has not cut out on me for some time. It used to when I would floor the car, but all is well now????
One thing I did notice when it was cutting out is the plug for the electrical part of the BPC would make a low humming noise and would remain doing so a couple seconds after the car was shut off. Now that there is no cut out it no longer makes this noise?
