I've been struggling with an issue on my '01 Viggen for 6 months and 3 dealer visits. The condition was basically that under FOT, the boost would rise to 2/3 yellow and drop off to 1/2 well before 5,000 rpm when it normally begins to drop off. First thought it was bad or low octane gas but have always used 94...the cond'n still there after a few more tank fulls. Drove the car really hard for a while thinking it would re-learn...nothing. Changed bov thinking it was release early - no chg. Finally they checked the Mass Air flow sensor...bingo...its readings were off 24%...guess the proper amount of fuel wasn't being mathed to the true amount of air coming in - reduced power/boost...now the boost is back to norm between yellow/red..yipee...
Just thought to share with you all in case you came across a similar issue and cant fine the 'leak'.
Your friendly, local neighbourhood Toronto Viggen driver...
ESPANOL - yes that's my plate also...
