One could get a brass drift and peen the ball into its brass seat to 'coin' a good fit. But that would not make any difference. The leak when seated does not have any effect in combo with the bleed orifice as the leak volume will not create a pressure difference that will cause the WGA to move at all. And once the boost gets up and the ball lifts off its seat, the issue of seated leakage becomes a non existant issue. So I think that you have nothing to be concerned about at all.
As for the MBC on the 9-5, the ECU will fight that imposed boost by closing the throttle and the net result is hot charge air. So I would not increase the boost much above normal peak! There will be traction and TCS issues in the lower gears. A SMBC does work well for that duty and has some advantages when sanely adjusted.
Most pressure regs are setup to work on 125 PSI line pressures and the springs used are totally wrong for low pressures. The control knob can be backed off so much that the spring is on the edge of no contact and results can be erratic. So watch for that.
