I've got a 1987 SPG that I switched to '88+ style brakes this past summer. After driving my '93 900TC for a while, I had to have this upgrade on the SPG. '87 has same basic set up as '85 except for vented rotors. Sourced parts from a '89 900TC. Need complete rear axle assy and rear calipers, front spindle assy's (including rotors), axles ('88+ axles are different lengths)and calipers. Rear hand brake assy is bolted into '88+ cars but had to be welded into my '87. (No brainer) --> '88+ wheels; I have a set of 16" Aeros. Jeff's upgrade is similar except larger, later model 9000 front calipers were used. Basically, for his upgrade you'll need everything I listed while using 9000 calipers up front instead of 900 units. Be aware that all 9000 calipers are not the same; earlier ones are not as big as the ones Jeff used, but I don't know the model year of change to larger calipers. Even without the larger calipers, braking is much improved. Hope that helps
