it's the ECU. During starting, the ECU fires cylinder 1&3 and 2&4 until it has determined when cylinder 1 has fired and then it applies the correct firing order (1342). That's not to say that the ECU is bad however. Maybe the CPS (Crank Pos Sensr) or the DI for that matter may be causing your problem. Try to borrow a good DI from someone to help troubleshoot. My guess is that it's on it's way out.
