My tubing runs from the throttle body to the HBC, so it is a long run. My overshoot in the cold can be quite strong, but with the fuel cut, you cannot tell where is might have gone. The new controller will be the equivalent of turning down the HBC knob, then increasing the orifice flow. You could add a needle valve to the HBC and get the same result.
The result will be a slightly decreased spool up accleration as the pressure nears the target boost pressure. But a proper response should be the best of both worlds, combined with a higher steady state pressure. So the result should be a faster car and dynamic turbo response that is still kicks butt. (nearly typo'd kicks to licks... not quite the same meaning!)
Are you sourcing your controller to the hose barb on the compressor housing? Do you see manifold pressure drop with high RPM's?
