VDO boost gauges and restrictor

Many, myself included, have had to fit restrictors in the line connecting the VDO boost gauge. I fit a Vision series boost/vacuum gauge, and it would bounce wildly at idle, creating a loud ratlling noise as well. After I made a restrictor with a 1/16" opening the gauge gave steady readings. So your waste gate is probably OK!
