Not really sure what happened, but she was somewhere on the otherside of my car and it was night time, I didn't think she was outside. I started to pull away and heard/felt some sort of thump. I stopped and got out and she was yelping like she just got creamed, but within a minute or two she had calmed down a lot. By the time we got to the vet she seemed fine and they took her in for x-rays. I thought I had run her over, but the doctor said that I must have either gone over her tail or knocked her down, because there was no evidence of her actaully recieving that kind of damage. But she's 14.5 and arthritic and a german shepherd so according to the docs she's not supposed to be still alive let alone standing. She didnt stand on her own for a few weeks or so and then it started coming back. By now she has got herself up twice, (something which she couldn't always due before either) and can walk but seems to be having problems with one of her rear legs. When it first happened, I didn't think she was dead, but I was pretty sure we were going to have to put her down. About a month and half later her recovery has been nothing short of phenominal.
