No scoring on face of either rotor. The vibratoiin only is sensed while applying the brakes and at that, you pretty much have to put them on hard from about 60 or higher to really feel it. My car also has a high level of inherent vibration that is felt at about 40 and then between 60 and 80. It has never been a smooth car, but in my experience, all 9-5's particularly the sedans, have inherent vibrations in the ride. I.along with Saab directly, have examined this till we were blue in the face and could not explain it away. Back to the brakes though. A few hard stops from about 100 a few days ago trying to heat the rotor surfaces and clean them convinced me it is not a buildup of material on the surface of the rotor, but warping in an axial plane that is the problem. I did talk to Abbott racing and they offer an AP big brake upgrade that is not only cost prohibitive, but requires 18 inch wheels to clear the 330 mm diameter rotors. Brakes alone with shipping from GB could run 4000 US. Guess I am going to live with this till my next scheduled oil and filter and get new rotors and EBC pads, although I might try the sAtisfied Ceramic pads that a few others on the 9-5 board have talked about. I am a bit skeptical about the possibility of a bad match between the EBC pad's friction properties and the Saab rotor. In my mind, very little to loose trying a different brand pad at this point. Have you used other than EBC?
