another saab bites the dust...maybe

I had my 85 900T out on the empty highway today. I came down the on-ramp all guns blazing straight to 180kph. Man I love this car. Unfortunatly, several days ago I nailed a bear at legal speeds and I don't know what to do with my car. Its pretty smoooshed up, but I have no choice but to still drive it. I think I can replace it for less than it'll cost me to replair the damage.
The car I'm looking at is a n/a 900, because it's cheap but in VERY nice shape with lots of new stuff. But I don't know if I can give up that spirit that the turbo has.
I've been reading up on the LPT conversion, and some people seem to think one can get as much or more power out of that set up as is in the stock FPT turbo.
I'd like to retain that "175+hp" of my car, but I'm not a genious under the hood.
I basically need to vent (sorry for the long post) and gather some advice on what to do. This seamed like the right place LOL.
A plain old LPT conversion would be quite simple for me, but I know I'd want more than that would give me. I'd really like to make something of this n/a car.
Any input would be nice.
Thanks a lot.
