it could be converted to a cooling system performance issue :-)
did you purge all the air from the cooling system when you replaced the Tstat using the bleader on top of the Tstat housing?
I know this sounds stupid but you dident put the T stat in upside down did you? the spring goes in :-)
are there drive belts on the WP pulley?
once you purge the air fire it up & put your hand on the upper hose you can feel when the Tstat opens as the hose will get much hotter semi sudenly this is how you tell if the system is flowing
if the engine is hot & the radiator is cold you have a flow issue like a bad Tstat blocked radiator air in the system & probably not the WP
but if after all that its still getting hot
check the cooling system for HCs
