I just used the dremel tool to shave the the distributor boost retard stop and now the knock sensor boost pulsing is fixed, but is replaced with a fuel cut-off stutter. I believe that the injectors are getting cut by the ECU(not sure on ECU fuel pump cut off, but it is nothing like the face in the dash that cars with separate fuel pump cut-off demonstrate). Boost is under 1 BAR at approx 12 psi on a calibrated gauge when it cuts(about 1/4'' into red on dash gauge). Car is a 90 900t with rrfpr, grp6 APC box, K&N, grp6 exhaust, spg9 24lb injectors. Wires, cap and plugs and ECU are new. AMM is "known good" used one.
I also cut wastegate base boost back to 4.5lbs, because at 5.5 lbs, the boost would go 3/4 red and the fuel/injector cutoff was excessive. But now at 4.5 at least I can feather the throttle for drivability, just like I did with the knock sensor. Could I have a pressure transducer problem. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
