I've got: SAS Rear bar only: Make the car actually turn, no real downside - havent managed to oversteer it. I've also heard the SAS front ARB can really hurt the ride quality.
No-one has mentioned the front strut brace - this is probably the best bit of kit I have fitted. Make you realise just how much front end twist there is.
Poly bushed all round with the slightly softer powerflex bushes (purple or yellow). Exception of the front ARB tie bars and one of the dogbone engine mount - dont do these or the ride/engine vibration suffers. Fresh 'standard' is enough.
I find it hard to believe that running the SAS bars on standard shocks and springs dont give an oversprung, underdamped effect on cornering but sounds like they are OK. The adjustable konis just offer sooo much better body control but i agree they add to the price.
Flip side is the ride is definitely firmer.
I thought about SQR but I'm going for Maptun stage 4 as the stock injectors are absolutely at their limit at 300+bhp. I dont intend taking any risks here.
The SQR stage 4 seems to me to be a cheaper solution to get max bhp for minimum cash and forgets:
1) Injectors are totally maxed out
2) Needs an intercooler to hold power for any useable period of time (imho!)
3) You have to fit an uprated clutch - the standard WILL slip at 360ftlbs.
This makes a huge difference to the REAL price of doing it 'properly' -
On the flip side, I know the SQR stg4 works perfectly well blast and I dont see any complaints so maybe it is the way to go. I just prefer the safer route.
