I had an 87 head on the floor I took that and went nuts Posted by Inga [Email] (#2994) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Inga) on Wed, 29 Jun 2005 11:49:34 In Reply to: Re: I don't know but please let me know how long it takes,, SPGEMT, Wed, 29 Jun 2005 10:10:46 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Course I did a resurface and triple cut valve job. Then I swapped out the intake cam with a 2.1 n/a from a 91. I also ported and port-matched the intake and exhaust. Plus the guides on the exhaust side. (brass) I also replaced the stock intake with a 2.1n/a. The runners are a little bit bigger. It's all installed and ready for the turbo install.
As you might already know. I spend a lot of money when I get mad. And that head really p*ssed me off. I first just did the head and cams. But after my 2 yr. old made a sand castle on top of the head in the garage, I went ahead and did the port and what not too. Total bill was like 800. (just the head work) I had a head gasket set stuff already, I'd been waiting for this but I didn't expect it till I really got things going!
This is life!
