1) what cat is 'small' enough for this application?
What is the size requirement? There should be one out there.
2) how do i extend the OEM o2 sensor harness?
How good are you at soldering? For me it would be very easy to splice in extra length of wire, but then I do that kind of thing for a living. What you'd want to do when you splice in the wire is put heat shrink tubing over the splices and silicone caulking inside the heat shrink. This will weather proof it.
