to thier 8V 900 Turbo?
If so, what are the results like?
I am in the UK, and my car is a 1989 900T 8V. It has an intercooler as standard and I have fitted a custom 2.5" full system stainless exhaust (with no cat (pre 1991 vehicles in the UK do not need cats!)), a K&N filter (plus modified air box) and the APC and wastegate have been tweaked to give a fairly constant 0.9 Bar (13.3 psi) boost. The performance is pretty good, and it certainly beats my standard 16V Turbo 900 hands down!
I am interested in purchasing this camshaft to give more power, but I am uncertain about a few things in the product description.
1: As the cam 'targets higher RPM towards 7500', do you have to bypass the cars fuel cutout system at 6000RPM, and if so how is this done?
2: Fuel Enrichment is a reccommended modification. What method would you use to achieve this? I have heard of people using a 5th injector. Can the 5th injector (the cold start injector) that is there already be somehow used, or does the solution lie in the fuel distributor?
3: Does this camshaft produce a rough idle, as I have heard of this problem on other cars with performance cams?
Thanks in advance for any input.
