source for '97 9K flywheel and pressure plate Posted by TML [Email] (#2212) [Profile/Gallery] (more from TML) on Sat, 13 Aug 2005 11:12:43 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It looks like I'm going to be dropping my transmission sooner than I thought. At the track last night I blew a seal or something, had oil coming out all over the place. So while I'm in there, I might as well do some upgrades.
I'd like to get a lighter flywheel, but I can't seem to locate one for '97. Group9 only lists one for 86-90. I read about people getting the stock one machined. Is that possible, and how would I go about doing it? I can't imagine the local machine shop is going to know what to do.
I will also upgrade the clutch. Is the consensus still for an upgraded pressure plate, and stock disc from Group 9? Other option seems to be the 6 puck disc that Swedish Dynamics has. But then where do I get a pressure plate?
